Our story is very simple: Pet Rabbit owners who were struggling to find a suitable and serious bunny sitter for our rabbit while we were traveling for work or vacation.

We have tried relatives, friends, or a combination of the two, and 99% of the time the response was "No".  Any pet rabbit owner knows that rabbits require special and attentive care. They can't be housed as cats or dogs. There are certain rules pet rabbit owners and sitters need to be able to accommodate and follow to keep the rabbit healthy. Any pet rabbit owner knows how easily rabbits could get ill and that it could be fatal. Thus, it is always a worry of what to do with the rabbit(s) while gone.

 

Rabbits are also known for not liking to travel much. They thrive in the environment and lifestyle they are used to. Trips, changes of surroundings, caregivers, or food are always stressful for the rabbit.

We read forums, posted in social media groups, and were looking for all kinds of options for a trusted bunny sitter. We finally found our solution at a local vet clinic by simply asking if they offer boarding for pet rabbits. At first, it wasn't among their services but they liked the idea. Since then they have been offering a wonderful rabbit onboarding service and many pet rabbit owners leave their bunnies at the clinic while traveling.

This is how the Pet Rabbit Hotels idea was born: To have a one-stop resource of trusted bunny sitters for every pet rabbit owner across the globe!
